Hi all
My DRO completed in March this year, I saw on another thread that Sourcrates mentioned cleaning up the credit file. What does that mean? And how do I do it?

Hi,
Its explained in more detail here :
https://debtcamel.co.uk/repair-credit-record-dro/
Basically all your accounts included in your DRO should show as a zero balance, and either show as settled or satisfied.
All defaults should be dated prior to the start of your DRO.
Creditors themselves are not always sure how debt relief order debts are supposed to be marked after completion, so its normally up to you to do a clean up of your own file, so if the information is not as described, then you write and complain to the creditor advising them of the correct way the accounts should be marked.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
