We're going away on Tuesday in the caravan, taking one of our grandsons to N Ireland, so we're preparing for that. The last twice we've been away was to weddings, so we were taking posh clothes and shoes that were only worn once, but we don't have to do that this time. I try to plan clothes so we can get more than one wear, saves space[/B][/B]
Scarlet where In NI are you going? I live in Portrush!0 -
Good Afternoon chums quite warm here in north Kent ,made a big pot of celery soup to use it up rather than bin it. Nice with some paprika and lazy garlic added.Do me for several days lunches.
Another week has vanished and only two more to go before my holidays, really looking forward to the break on our beloved IoW. This year seems to be flying by.
Hope you all have a good weekend what ever you are doing
Take care chums

Hi everyone....just been having a catch-up. Had a lovely holiday in Majorca with eldest DD - beautiful weather but a little too hot at times. Did nothing but relax, chat and eat lovely food.
Was lovely to see little grand daughter when I got home - she gave me the most gorgeous smile when her mummy brought her into my house. She stayed last night and slept for 10 hours! She was full of cold while I was away and was to be taken into hospital if it got any worse, but thankfully it seems to be a lot better. She'll be 7 months old tomorrow, but should only be 4 and a half.
Youngest DD and baby are moving house next week. She was finding it so difficult to manage baby, pram, and the boxes of milk and feeding equipment she needs every time they go out as there's 20 steps down to her house. She lives on the most badly designed estate ever - it's built on a hill with loads of steps and little alley ways. The new house is in a much nicer location and close to my mum and dad. and still just a 15 minute walk for me.
Well I've got a couple of things to do then I need to go down to do some banking for my dad. Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Hi, Cliffsgirl, we'll be based on a site near Larne.
We've been to Portrush, nice seaside place as I recall.
Haven't been to Ireland since 2000, but we've visited a few times before then, north and south. The N Antrim coast is lovely, we'll be taking Dgs to walk over the rope bridge at Carrick- a-Rede, that's a must!!0 -
Scarlett I love the rope bridge too. It’s quite a walk down to it but the views are amazing. Just check it’s open before you go as it closes on windy days.0
