Campervan from Midlands to Torquay

Hi there
Tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, I'll be travelling from the Midlands to Torquay in a campervan with my family (and our dog), and with a dinghy boat trailer on the back.
To break up the journey, we plan to stop somewhere on the Friday night, ideally fairly quiet but with a pub serving food nearby, and plan to do a parkrun the next morning.
Any suggestions on where to stay? The ideal would be if we could just leave the van at the site we stop at, go and do the parkrun, and then come back to the vehicle at the site, as parking with the boat in tow is not always easy. Alternatively, attending a parkrun where parking is really, really easy would be handy.
I'm envisaging somewhere between Cheltenham and Taunton, but would really welcome any suggestions as to what sites/parkruns might work well given our circumstances.
Thank you!!
Paul
