And quoting directly from the email they sent; "one or more of your flights will now be operated by either Titan Airways, Smartlynx or Albastar."

I don't see a 'did you feel safe?' option on the link you gave.
But I'm on my phone and will have a look later.

Would you have felt safer on a TUI Boeing 737 max?
That ^^^^ is the reason that you are not flying on a TUI plane.

And the T&C's state that you are not guaranteed to fly on a TUI badged plane.

As for your options, you could cancel and lose the amount specified in TUI T&C's.
But less than 21 days to departure, are you prepared to lose the majority of your holiday cost?

Given the choice of a brand new 737 max (which I've actually flown on  ) and one with a bit of speed tape on it I know which I would choose.

Can you imagine a pilot and co-pilot flying on a plane that they thought was held together with duct tape,i do not think so. Go and enjoy your holiday.

    Me too.

I really don’t understand the many complaints on here about the change of planes that are almost all due to the grounding of the 737max .

Indeed. It's transport. As long as it gets from A to B without hurtling out of the sky it's fine.

Plus, flying is always boring. The constant fear of death makes it exciting ;)

What are the flight numbers, dates of the flights and routing? You have two flights so clearly you can’t be on five different airlines.

Others have explained why TUI are having to charter replacement aircraft - a grounding of an aircraft type with safety related issues. You should be feeling more ‘safe’.

Albastar don't have any aircraft as old as some of the 737s operated by Jet2, a couple of which are over 30 years old an one almost 35.

Whilst you may be a nervous flyer, you seem to be focusing on the very negative reviews on trip advisor. A quick look just now, and it seems there are an equal number of good, and even excellent recent reviews by people who have been on Albastar instead of TUI.

The main complaints see, to be the aircraft presentation - interiors may be a bit more worn/shabby than TUI. It’s not uncommon on charter aircraft. However the reviews of people claiming it was unsafe and “held together by tape” are obviously from people who have no expertise in the matter. The speed tape on the engine was not a safety issue - there was a similar photo of easyJet engineers doing the same to an engine whilst the passengers watched on. Yes it might seem unnerving but in no way dangerous.

Don't think they are running one that old, though some are a little over 30.
