Hi
Has anyone done a Barclays PPI claim, barclays ask alot questions
They have admitted they found one but ask things like
Did you have any known medical conditions at the time you took out the policy?
Have you ever made a claim on the policy for periods of sickness or unemployment?
Do you currently have, or have you ever had, an insolvency agreement in place?
i dont know how to answer as cant remember and just yes and no questions

Usually, if they have issued the questionnaire, it means they have not found any grounds for missale upto that point. Hence why they are asking for more details. They have admitted they found one but ask things like

Remember there is nothing wrong with having PPI. The issue is whether it was sold correctly.
Asking about health is valid and correct as it could impact on the decision.Have you ever made a claim on the policy for periods of sickness or unemployment?Do you currently have, or have you ever had, an insolvency agreement in place?
Again, this is more to do with successful complaints as those people are not legally entitled to the refund. However, the banks check the registers before paying out in most cases.i dont know how to answer as cant remember and just yes and no questions
How about telling the truth?
You would know if you have been bankrupt or have serious medical conditions. In areas you dont recall then say you cannot remember. They are not expecting perfect recollection.0 -
i am telling the truth duuuuuuh, im curious a to why they ask random questions like my pay for the week i took out anything.
i answered truthfully but im suprised they didnt ask my waist size or what i drank that day.
Having a cold i wouldnt class as having health issue so dont want to tick yes for a cold0 -

We cant assume that. Over half of PPI complaints making allegations of wrongdoing dont even have PPI. You could be one of those for all we know.im curious a to why they ask random questions like my pay for the week i took out anything.
They are not random. Knowing your pay at the point it was taken out is important.i answered truthfully but im suprised they didnt ask my waist size or what i drank that day.
Those questions are asked with life assurance, income protection or annuities but they are not required with PPI.0 -
Generally if you make a "claim" for anything, then questions are asked. Last time I was involved in a car accident and I made a claim, there were quite a few questions involved.
Nobody will ever hand over money without asking a few questions. Call me mean but if you asked me to give you some money, I would ask why!I work in Data Protection and spend my days dealing with CMC's. Only here trying to help!!0
