Travel trade sources TTG and Travel Weekly are just reporting that
Super Break and LateRooms.com have ceased trading.

A quick heads up just in case and MSE'ers have up coming high season bookings with either of these travel companies.

For clarification this is Late Rooms Ltd (trading as LateRooms.com), Superbreak Mini-Holidays Ltd (trading as Super Break). Also in the group was Malvern Travel Technology Limited which has also ceased trading.

Sadly I had booked a short break with them as a surprise 60th birthday present for my husband.
We still want to go but already confused about what to do !! And of course the email I received telling me comes just as everyone shuts for the night. Great timing.

I know someone travelling tomorrow on a break.

LNER are on the ball and have sent a holding email. Tickets are in hand so that's a bonus.

Hotel and their central call centre haven't a clue, but the room is booked and reserved.

If things need paying for again they will do a s75 claim for a refund.

ABTA says all hotel only bookings are cancelled and have no financial protection from ABTA, advice here:
    https://www.abta.com/news/superbreak

It seems in most cases they are advising people to make claims against credit or debit cards and not themselves

LNER are honouring all bookings, regardless of date of travel.

We had a package to Poland , flights and hotel. I have also booked tours, airport parking and transfers. We travel a lot and have never had this happen before.

Did you have an ATOL certificate? You might be able to claim via the CAA’s ATOL protection scheme.

As you travel a lot, doubtless you have insurance?

Superbreak was an ABTA member and some additional information on what to do if currently on holiday, what happens if you are due to travel imminently and importantly how to obtain refunds on now cancelled bookings, can be found here-
    https://www.abta.com/news/superbreak

If you had an air included Superbreak holiday use should have been issued with an ATOL Certificate shortly after booking. Refer to this regarding claims for getting your money back. Details on the CAA website -
    http://www.caa.co.uk/ATOL-Failures/Superbreak-Mini-Holidays-Ltd/

For Laterooms.com reservations, it seems many bookings might be OK as Laterooms were acting as only an Agent and customer credit card information was passed to hotels and for them to make the charge. Check with your hotel to see if your booking stands. If not you should perhaps contact your credit card provider to see if a Sector 75 claim can be made for a refund. Look at the MSE link at the bottom of this page for details on such claims.
