Replacing bay window curtain rail battens

Hi everyone,

We've two curved bay windows in our house (one above the other) and some of the battens holding the rail are starting to come away from the wall. It's not been down as one long, bent piece of wood, it's lots of individual little bits. Here's what the downstairs looks like:

The last picture shows one of the coming-away bits, but this one isn't as bad as some upstairs.

What I want to know is: can I replace them with one long piece of wood, and would I have to get that 'prefessionally' curved or can I curve it myself? Every individual batten here, no matter how short, has some space behind it so I don't want to go back to those :S
