Hmm :(

I'd greatly appreciate a reps input here even if it is to say "you need to call" , but I have one question they can probably , hopefully answer in this...

Old topic no need to read it all, would not advise it tbh. Post 10 is the appropriate one really.

Summary (please read this) , despite requesting a card as one never arrived ( ! ) , I asked for one via the online "lost my card" form but never got one.

Given it had taken so long I'd given up as my way of looking at it was the monies that were still being taken were eventually winging their way to EON not BG anyway.

Email today:
Your total outstanding debt £51.96

We've worked this out by adding your previous debt balance of £26.96 (as of 22 July 2019) to the £25.00 adjustment we're putting on your meter.

Any payments made towards your debt after this date aren't included.

Please check your meter for your up to date balance.

Problem here is simple:

The current 'debt' is £16.96, this is actually correct as it takes on a Wed and I pay this off on a Wed morning so I know it won't eat anything for the rest of the time, in other words I ensure the repayment for each week is cleared that day so anything else I put on is just for gas nothing else. This has worked well for months. :)

I can see the 51.96 is because 26.96+25 = 51.96 however:

Now, it says previous "£26.96 but not including anything after" which is 2 x £5 so that's correct at £26.96 -£5 -£5 = £16.96 , that's good.

The question is simply this please for the rep:

** What is the 25 adjustment for please ** ?

My feeling to be completely blunt is I've been messed about so much lately if anything it ought to be zero, but I'm very upset to see a 25 'adjustment charge added for some random unexplained reason. I thought about tarrifs but I'm a low gas user so there's no way even if the price per unit was doubled lol it would be anywhere near that figure.

Please advise. All I would need to know at this stage is what the 25 is meant for.

A payment card would be nice too. As I say I've given up for now.

Thank you. :)

Hello AndyCF and I'm sorry you still haven't received a gas payment card.

Please talk to our Prepayment teams. These advisors use different systems and can see details other advisors can't. They'll be able to arrange for a card to be sent. They'll also let you know what payments have been received and if they need to claim anything paid to your previous supplier since we took over. Don't worry, it's up to us to sort any missing payments and make sure they're put on the right account.

If you prefer not to phone, we've specialist Prepayment advisors on our online Live Chat service. They're available through our website from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and between 8am and 6pm Saturdays.

From the message we've sent, it looks like an adjustment has been made to bring things into line with the debt amount transferred to us by your previous supplier. Totally guessing here and could be way out. Again, our Prepayment advisors will be able to let you know as they'll be able to see what the adjustment refers to.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction AndyCF.

    Appreciated thanks. :)

I realise it is a 'not straightforward question. It was more a case of if it was obvious what the erm 'fee' was for as I could not really find any logical reason for it.

I'm sure they will put it (or me!) right. I'll take pics of stuff over the weekend and then try my best to contact Monday. I have all the other specifics anyway regarding monies.

I should point out I had such erm 'issues' last year involving three, yes three! trips to do zero balance card updates (which as you can imagine annoyed the shopkeeper a bit) to put right what the previous supplier kept getting wrong, I lost faith with them hence moving to you once I had kept it all going for a few months without issues. GD issues twice and once the balance changed instead of the GD, human error I guess wrong input box! But three times lol. :)

Perhaps one of the most annoying things was I was informed I had to go to a specific shop for the repeated message updates (after several phone calls / hours etc over a few days to put things right) , and despite my requests it was not one of the nearest ones! Looking back I probably should of requested some form of credit for three trips and time+phone calls but its all in the past now as I say all that was a previous supplier. :)

    Thank you. :):)
