Hi advice needed and I apologise should it already been asked.
I will try to keep it short.
Last yr spouse loses job, unemployed for roughly a month
Spouse gets job which is paid through an employment agency who constantly change tax code. Now employed with company.
Tax credit informed by phone of changes but due to information the hmrc rep decided to put in wrong info even though it was repeated over and over again by both spouse and I.
We have been told that due to THEIR mistake we owe an over payment of more than £ 5 grand we knew nothing of this until renewal and is tax yr 17/18. But as we have been told no point in complaining we wouldn't win.
Can any one help pls

I am not a tax credits expert but there are members who are. They may have a look at your post later so keep checking back.0 -
When did you find out that the HMRC rep had put in the wrong information? The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0
