Is the bath properly supported underneath or has it been flexing when stepping in?

I suspect its been flexing because the part of the bath that has cracks is where we step in

Which suggests that there should be a support under the bath to prevent such flexing. You can post links by dropping any http and www part.

Thank you. if its incorrect support, would that be something done incorrectly by the fitter?

The cracks are small and hard to photograph. they are easier to see if the image is opened fully

It seems you can now post links. :) However I can't access that site from work. :(

Whether the fitter has installed it incorrectly depends entirely on what installation instructions are provided.

It would not be unusual for a piece of 3/4" chipboard the same width and length as the under-surface of the bath to be positioned under the bath with at least 2 adjustable supports between the chipboard and the bathroom floor. Was this done?

Looks like scratches to me, albeit some of them deep. Does anyone ever get into the bath with jewellery or piercings?

fair enough. I think if they were scratches they wouldn't be in only one part of the bath.

No, we only use the shower. The baby sits in the tub by herself and has no jewellery and only soft toys.
