I'll put this one in to be upgraded

What does that mean? You're going to pay someone a fortune to do something you could do yourself for less then £20?

It is Win 7. I'm going to have to get my big laptop fixed, so when that's done I'll put this one in to be upgraded, it will be worth it as I love this wee laptop. Thanks for all patient help everybody.

Did you miss what is being suggested? Do it yourself. Are you really that helpless?
Don't waste money on such simple tasks. It's not just the money. If you do not even attempt it, you will always be taking your laptop to be fixed, when there are simple things that you fix yourself. You'll never know unless you try.
So at least attempt it. If you then feel that it is beyond you,(you won't) you can take it to the shop anyway.
We'll guide you through every step.
Start by ordering the SSD. Again, even if you feel that you cannot fit it yourself(you can), you'll save money by not having them source the part and charging more for it.

So why don't we start by choosing the kind of capacity you'll want for the laptop. If it's just for a back up laptop, 120 GB will be fine. Price from £17.
240 GB is the next step up, at perhaps £24.
