Credit card limit

in Credit cards
My husband and I are buying our first house and rather than spend the cash we have saved up we'd like to get a 0% credit card (the Halifax deal looks good) to buy things like appliances, do any needed repairs etc. Is there a way to figure out what limit could we be offered? We have existing Amex cards with something like 7k and 12k limit and our mortgage is about 100k below what we could have gone for.

I've always found that typically with a non AMEX cards I get offered a limit around half that of my current AMEX limit/s.
Don't know why but that's what my experience is.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
