Ooh yes Savingholmes, I think that because we haven't been going anywhere I haven't given it a thought. It will be in the house somewhere so a sort through is in order. I wonder if it's the same with your driving licence; that it has dropped to the back of your mind.CC1 Aug19 [STRIKE]£7587.85[/STRIKE] Aug 20 £0

Morning all, I hope you are all doing well, hanging in there and keeping safe.
It's much of the same here, I'm keeping busy with work, jobs around the house, cooking and trying to get my steps in each day. I'm saddened by the numbers of deaths due to Covid but we could all see them rising with the daily totals so it hasn't come as a big surprise as the media seem to think. My heart goes out to those families and I really hope that we can bring this dreadful thing under control soon.
I'm also sad as I have had words with my son, which rarely happens. He sees the situation very differently from me and though I have apologised for my part in it, he is very angry with me. I know it will pass and he will see his part later and perhaps we will be able to talk when he has calmed down but it's still very hard. I think it's best that I keep my distance for now.
The weather is really cold here as in most places; Tilly and I have to give each other pep talks to make us venture out on our walks but we are still getting out each day. I so long for the warmer weather to arrive and some signs of spring. There's not much of that around here at present.
This isn't much of a positive post is it? I'm off to make a coffee and warm up and I'll be back later. Hopefully a bit more cheery

Sending (((hugs))) @Dottles1
I think the 'upsets' are all part and parcel of the lockdown. Everyone seems to be much more inclined to be upset over things that they'd normally take no notice of. XXXI Believe.....

Funnily enough I had words with my DS too last night.

Hugs. I lectured my son on £ and responsibility today too. Fell out briefly with DD before lunch as well. I don't do well with constant interruptions - with all 4 of us trying to live and work in one home... Luckier than most I know though. Hope your DS sorts himself out soon and that things get back to normal.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Chrystal, Beanie and Savingholmes. Maybe we all have lower tolerance levels at the moment (or maybe it's just kids, however old they are
) He did ring me last night and we have talked; I don't think he likes us falling out anymore than I do. I definitely have some things to take away from the situation but I've just read your signature Chrystal

It rang a bell and made me think about the expectations I place on myself. I need to remember that I am human too and sometimes make mistakes.
Today has been a better day. I've had gaps between clients and was able to take Tilly out. Even though it was (and is still) drizzling it was good to get some fresh air and exercise. I feel as though I have achieved a lot as I've addressed a few niggly little jobs that needed doing. The lamp that I ordered from Dun£lm arrived and looks great but they appear to have charged my credit card twice so I've emailed them, I have re-verified and uploaded more documents for the DBS saga which I thought had been completed and I've ordered the supplements that I have been meaning to do for a couple of weeks but kept forgetting. Jobs well done I think!!
I have one more Zoom meeting to do early this evening and then I'm done for the week. I have some baby potatoes, cavalo nero, onions and mushrooms and so think I will prep them and put in the oven with some vegan sausages (I'm not vegan but I like a lot of vegan food) so it is ready for when I finish.
As the weather is forecast to be wet all day tomorrow I think I will ring friend P to rearrange our walk to Saturday and have all day to myself. This evening will be another walk with Tilly followed by a bath and PJ's and hitting the sofa for some some tv or reading, I think I've earned it.
Have a good evening all

Good afternoon all.
It's a sunny and pleasant day here after a frosty start, so here's hoping that you get a bit of sunshine too. The weekend has been productive so far with a 10k walk with friend P yesterday followed by some sorting out of cupboards. Does anyone else seem to just move stuff around the house or are you all good at getting rid of it? I had a Zoom call with friend S this morning for an hour followed by tackling the housework. I've changed the bed, emptied the bins, hoovered through and moved the dresser with the help of DS to make my table more accessible. We are back to normal now which is a huge relief, I went for tea on Friday and was able to speak to DIL as well so everything has now been said that needs to be and we all seem to be fine.
I have secured a cauliflower, peppers and green beans via Olio so I'll need to collect them later this afternoon. I think I'll catch up on some diaries on here and then take Tilly out before the sun disappears for the day.
Speak tomorrow, have a fab evening

Glad things are better with family again. I desperately need to declutter! Oh well - no energy for that today.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Savingholmes. I think you definitely need to be in the right frame of mind for decluttering and have the energy or everything just ends up going back where it came from. I am breaking it up into small projects to make it more doable. Today's task is the office. As I'm not seeing anyone face to face at present I have put all the admin stuff into there in bags and a pile of papers too. They are all on the floor so I can't not see them when I'm in here. I also have a bag of frames and pictures that I don't want to get rid of yet but I could sort through them and find somewhere to store the ones I'm keeping. I also have a box of leads that I don't know what are for/belong to. I've been meaning to ask DS to have a look but realistically if I haven't used them for a number of years I obviously don't need them and most are probably out of date so I should get rid.
I'm feeling positive and quite energetic tis morning so I'm going to take advantage to get things done. I've just had my first client and have a couple of hours until the next one so I'm going to take Tilly out for her first walk of the day then come back and tackle the office. The sun is shining again but it's very cold and there is thick ice on the bird's water dish so I'll wrap up and put Tilly's fleecy coat on as she's an old girl (we'll say nothing about me:) )
keep warm everyone, speak soon
