    Morning.
Woke up at 5:30 with headache and feeling nauseous, took tablets and stayed in bed and feel a little better.  I'm going to get up and go for a walk with Tilly while the sun shines then take things slowly this morning.  at least I'm not teaching until 4:30 but I had planned to get a pile of marking done but I can't see that happening.  I hat the feeling of being behind with work.  Still, I've counted up and it is 11 weeks on Thursday until I retire so not long now.
I'll be back later with a more cheerful catch up.

    evening all
I rallied round at about 1 pm and sorted everything out for class.. I also managed to mark a paper and a video, not a lot but a start.  I'm feeling much better now though a bit wiped out but nothing that can't be put right with an early night :)
I've just finished work so might have a bowl of cereal and a sit down with feet up and Tilly curled up next to me.
I've been trying to update my total debt but on of my banks has now stopped me getting into my account without a card reader.  I applied for one and it arrived but just won't let me in, telling me that I have to ring the bank which is easier said than done at present.  Also, while I'm moaning about technology, I went to collect my "click and collect" shopping form A**a yesterday.  It all seemed easy enough - go to car park and follow instructions on machine - there was a notice on the machine telling me to ring this number and park in the disabled bay by the store.  Duly done but could not contact the store as they kept on disconnecting due to too many calls.  No staff were coming down as they weren't getting the messages so I couldn't tell anyone I was there.  One and a half hours later shopping collected - so much for it being quicker, but at least I didn't have to go into a store with lots of other people.
There was one customer giving the assistant an earful because of the wait and I did feel sorry for her as it's not her fault.  They are doing their best in difficult circumstances....and remaining cheerful.
On a much better note, it has been lovely and sunny here today and feels like the temperature is slowly inching it's way up again ready for the long weekend.  I will be putting nose to grindstone on Thursday so I cabn have Friday all to myself.  Garden here I come !!
I hope you are all well and keeping busy

I nearly was Beanie but hey ho strange times.   It has been warm and sunny today Savingholmes though I didn't see much of it.  However I am looking forward to being out in it later in the summer.
I've had a good day after feeling grotty for the past 2.  I slept well last night which always helps my mood.  I managed to get everything done that I wanted to and have a work plan to go forwards with, so all good.
I am sooo looking forward to a day in the garden with Tilly tomorrow and the forecast is good.  I have quite a few seedlings to plant, grass to cut and front borders to continue with.  I wonder why garden work never seems lie work (though my muscles often tell a different story)
I've also been sent a recipe for dandelion "honey" , have any of you tried it?  I'm intrigued and might give it a try.
    Have a great evening all

My problem to put it in context is I find it really difficult to stand in the queue.

Glad the garden is helping you exercise and have fun. I struggled to do physio for my leg - can never remember the instructions and besides it hurt too much. Yet do the same muscle movements while gardening interspersed with rest and I can carry on a long time.

Do you have anyone who can go for you Beanie?  I have noticed the aches that come from gardening especially at this time of year, but I don't mind them as I see them as evidence of a job well done.  If I take it sensibly and gradually I can manage my arthritis (hands, hips and shoulders) Savingholmes and it gets easier over time.
I got the worst of the front borders done yesterday and the so will just potter on with the rest at an hour a day if the weather allows.  I now have 3 courgettes planted in the front garden as well as the 2 in the back.  Usually one or two plants provide me with more than enough courgettes for the summer so I guess I'll be digging out some recipes and donating to family and friends.  I have also planted left over wild flower seeds in 2 pots, the cucumbers have germinated and I'm waiting for tomatoes, aubergine and peppers to come through and waiting to plant out some purple sprouting broccoli seedlings.  I'm filling everything and anything I can with veg at the moment but loving it.  Oh and I managed to get 2 loads of washing out to dry so that's me sorted for a couple of weeks.  I do like to see washing drying on the line and even better the fresh smell of it.
Tilly had a fine time in the sunshine yesterday, she loves to follow me around.  I sat reading my book for a bit and she decided to lie in the flower bed carefully curled around a courgette seedling without harming it.  What a good dog.
Today was back to lower temperatures, wind and a shower or two but not terrible, I've not done much but did make a rather nice lunch containing Jersey potatoes mmm.
I'm getting myself ready to hear what Boris has to say though I'm not really expecting much change.  I do hope that people don't start giving up on the guidelines just yet, I have noticed more cars on the roads and families and couples sitting on the green in the sunshine.  They are mostly keeping a safe distance but it only takes a few to disregard the warnings or to interpret them to suit themselves for the numbers to rise again.  I won't be in a rush to get out whatever is said tonight.
After Boris we have our family Zoom quiz which is proving to be popular  I haven't won yet but I don't care really as it is so good to all do something together.
GD in America is in charge this week so I'm expecting an American theme, better brush up on my states.
    "See" you all soon

Glad you are staying sensible. Sounds like you are a professional at this veg growing malarkey. I've only really done fruit before so think I have far too many seedlings on the go. I made a long list on another post probably 10+ different types - and then remembered I had missed off the leeks LOL.
