Thank you all for your comments and good wishes. I always feel people rooting for me on here. As for DD, she was amazing, I should have asked her to help so much sooner but I was really expecting her to say it wasn't possible just yet. I guess a fresh pair of eyes sees things differently.
Yes Beanie, I am excited and have made a start on writing the brief for my website and adverts. I've sourced one that will be free for 6 months and negotiated the first year for £24 with another. So with the main one I need to use it will come to under £100 .
I cashed out £50 from PA today which will go off CC3 straight away when it clears.
I can't wait to see my manager tomorrow, it's as though I've had a huge weight lifted.
    See you all tomorrow

    Evening all
I've had 2 good days at work completing small outstanding tasks. I'm still marking but should be finished by Monday so I'm going to have a big push and get it done. Only one more week until half term.
I told my manager that I will be going at the end of July. He was shocked but ok about it and gave me a cuddle. I'm not making it public until after Easter as I hate a fuss and there's a while to go. My team know though so forward planning can go ahead.
The PA money was in my account today and has been paid off CC3 already. I'm impressed with how quickly and smoothly they pay out.
Not much happening here, I've invited DD1 and her partner for lunch on Sunday and may have a coffee with friend A on Friday other than that it's all quiet. That's not always a bad thing though and means that I can make a start on sorting my bedroom and doing some batch cooking.
Right, I'm off to do a bit more marking.
    Sleep well

    Happy weekend everybody
It is bitterly cold up here in the North with the wind picking up.  I'm reliably informed that the storm is on it's way and should be with us tonight, so I'll be battening down the hatches later.  Tilly and I will be having a wander shortly before it all kicks in.
I have DD1 and her partner coming over for lunch tomorrow so have decided to make roasted butternut curry.  I have been out to pick up a few bits for it and some dog treats which was all I needed for this week.    The new dog treats are because I found a small stash of white bone shaped biscuits under the cushion of the bedroom chair so she obviously doesn't like those.  They have now been removed and secreted in a new place, I suspect the living room chair so will have to remove them while she's not looking.  It's a bit like living with a squirrel.

I didn't get around to doing any marking yesterday, I was working privately until 1pm and just couldn't be bothered afterwards.  However, that won't get it done so I've now allocated myself a quota for each day which helps  as I don't feel guilty so long as I get my quota done.
The skies are looking ominously grey so I'm off to get the washing in and take Tilly out just in case.
    Have a great weekend all.

The storm is due at midnight I think. Not looking forward to it. Dottles my dog is just the same hiding things behind cushions or burying them in the garden. DD bought her a hide bone and it’s now duly buried 😂

Hi Dottles, I've just finished reading your entire diary.  A bit like binging on a box set, it's so good to see how much progress and how much has changed during the diary,  you are so close to achieving the goals for your bright future.  I hope the storm isn't as bad as predicted and that your dog eats her new treats rather than hiding them.  No such problem with my cats and their treats - I'd be happy if they bothered chewing them rather than gobbling them down whole.

Hi Sun Addict, that made me smile.  I've lost count of how many toys I've bought Tilly that have then been buried.  I do wonder if the people who bought my old house have come across any yet.

Hi Blackcats, welcome to my ramblings.  I do find it helps me to stay accountable and I often sort things in my head by writing it own.  The storm has not been too bad so far.  A lot of rain and wind during the night but no damage  and no flooding in this area as far as I know.  It is also much milder.  There's still more to come apparently and I fel for those in areas that have been hit hard.

    Good evening all.
Today has been a good day all round.  I slept until 9:15 which is unheard of, but I've had so much more energy because of that.  DS came round to help me move a chest of drawers from the garage to my bedroom this morning.  I'm trying to make my room more comfortable and inviting by getting rid of some stuff, moving the furniture around and decorating.  DD1 and her partner came over for lunch and I got her opinion on the ideas I have regarding colour etc. as she has a great eye for these things.
Lunch was a great success, it was a Jamie Oliver recipe I must have printed out at some point which was delicious and I had a portion left to freeze for next week.  It was so good to have a leisurely lunch and catch up and then GD1 face-timed from the US so we had a communal chat with her too.
I managed to do some marking last night and may do one or two this evening, or I might leave it and get my head down and power through tomorrow, I'll see.
I hope you are all keeping safe, dry and warm.
