MET Parking ANPR McDonalds Gatwick - Do I have a leg to stand on

Got a letter dated 19th July for a contravention after 25th June.

ANPR camera enforcement for parking or waiting in a disabled bay without displaying a badge.

Basically McDonald’s Drive Thru messed up my order, I pulled up as soon as I realised which happened to by half way into a disabled bay and ran inside McDonald’s to get them to rectify.

Car was still running with my 8 year old daughter in passenger seat.

I would attach screenshot of letter from MET parking but don’t know how. Are there any technicalities I can use to appeal this?

Thanks,

Matt

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving

You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving

If you have used your real name in your post then edit that out

And if you have used your real name as your forum name then get mse to change it to something anonymous

The ppcs monitor this forum and can use posts in your thread against you in y
  • ANPR? How does that establish no disabled badge or even if said bays were adequately marked?

If you can drive a normal car, I'll assume you've got at least one leg that you can stand on. :)

if it was ANPR than MET WAITED TOO LONG FOR KEEPER LIABILITY UNDER POFA

they had to get the NTK to the keeper by day 15 (providing there was no windscreen ticket)

blue text template from the NEWBIES thread , appealing as keeper

the driver should stay out of BB bays if they dont have one , period !!!

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

Have you asked the restaurant to cancel? If they are unco-operative write bad stuff on their Facebook/TripAdvisor pages.
