Grade 2 listed house

I live in a grade 2 listed terraced cottage. I am - and have been for some years - insured with John Lewis. I tried, last year, to find other insurance companies that covered listed buildings, but didn’t have much luck.
I used to have my insurance through my mortgage company but am now mortgage free
Would appreciate if anyone knows where I can try. Thank you!

I've just googled 'listed buildings insurance' and got many results including confused.comMortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

Being a bit of a dippit, that’s too sensible for me.......Thank you! I’ll check out the confused.com which sounds about right...0

We are in the same position as you and are with the same insurer. In fact I recently renewed with JL (our renewal premium had actually gone down).
When I checked comparisons I decided to stay with JL. One main advantage was unlimited rebuild cover as we had had widely varying estimates and wanted some certainty.
There was a somewhat scary article in the Sunday Times "Money" section a couple of years ago about the pitfalls of insuring a listed building. If you are a subscriber, you may be able to find it on-line.0 -
For less common insurance needs it could well be worthwhile using an insurance broker. They should know which companies are most appropriate for your needs.0
