GE Money 3% Cashback card - Cashback?

Options
Hi

Has anyone who had the GE Money 3% cashback card recieved their money yet?

The card was closing down sometime in November (I can't remember the exact date).

They owe me around £20 cashback. I was assured that they would post a cheque for the funds owed but have yet to recieve anything.

Does anyone know the date the card is / was due to close?

Has anyone recieved their cashback?

  • I think it was to close on the 14 Nov.

As far as I remember cash back was to be credited to the next statement.

    As above 14 November 2007.
You are also unable to access your account on line so will have to wait on receiving the statement! to see the state of play regarding the cash back.
  • Received statement today - says that if there are any outstanding debits they will continue to send statements until you pay up - but says nothing about any outstanding credits.

I have £10 credit from cashbacks.

Looks like a phonecall is needed.

    cheers
  • I too received my statement this morning with the account showing around £20 in credit with cashback.

I have just phoned and they have raised a cheque for the full amount, which I am to receive in around 14 days.

I'm assuming that if I hadn't made the call that the cheque would not have been raised, so anyone who has a credit balance is probably best phoning them.

  • Received statement today and cashback has been added to GE credit account - have been using the card fervently up to the 14th Nov. At least it's one less card to worry about.

My cashback is credited on 15/11 - making my account in credit. I phoned them earlier and was told that they would issue a cheque in early December for every account in credit.

  • Received statement this morning with cash-back opening balance 74.03 and cash-back earned 15.58 and a total of £89.61 deducted from my bill so that's me sorted suggest you look closely to see that you have been paid back correctly! I suspect that if you have cash back and have no spends on the card then you will have to contact them, if you have used the card then there is no problem unless any purchases have not come through by 15/11/2007 then these will be on the next bill.

I got my statement last week and all transactions after 28 October are in black rather than green with a *. Hence cashback not earned on these transactions despite them being petrol and food. £671.54 of spending (I hit the card with extra purchases to get the 3% before it was withdrawn) not counted, so £20.15 cashback missing. They're 'looking into it'...

All my transactions were in green and dated up to 13/11/2007 and I have been paid at the correct amount just shows you that you have to check the statement carefully. No doubt you'll get sorted the replacement card i got was Barclaycard which gives 2% on Food and Fuel (max £15 per month)and 0.5% on every thing else and also no wait for the cash back its deducted from the statement every month.
