What will sort this out?

Today, I downloaded C Cleaner and ran it. When I continued surfing, every forum that I use, requested I sign in and enter password before I could proceed. Presumably C Cleaner caused that?. I anticipate going to Tools>Internet Options>Security> Custom..........but then what ?

make sure that you don't clear out all your cookies.

In other words, you have to re-enter all of your usernames and passwords.

Once you go to "Options" there are boxes for Settings, Cookies, Include etc. In the "Cookies" section there's 'Cookies to delete & Cookies to keep'. Just save the website addresses of those that you don't want to have to keep re-entering your username & password in the 'Cookies to keep' section.

That won't stop CCleaner from erasing them all the next time, will it?

You'll probably need to put them in an exclude list in CCleaner.

Though surely, if you use the built in password manager to save the passwords this wouldn't happen.

Not really just uncheck the cookies options.

Alternatively, copy the cookies you want to keep to a separate folder and then copy them each time you use CCleaner
