Boots.com- A Bad Start

Registered and did first order with Boots a few days back, and received a parcel today-thought this is superb -2 days for delivery.
opened it up-wrong item for someone the other side of the country whose full details were on the dispatch slip. Gutted

Then had to ring them on a 0845 number (costing me) to find out what the problem was. I was told I would have to repack and take it to local post office- post it back with a returns slip and get proof of purchase. When I asked operator what had happened she said 'Human Error' and that she would ask the warehouse to record the error. Told her as it was our first order I was not impressed and asked to speak to someone a bit higher up but was told that was it-nothing else I could do. Spent 35 mins getting to and queing in Post Office and really peed off at moment. :mad:
Are Boots always like this or have I had a bit of bad luck!
May write them a letter as not impressed all round at the moment:eek:

  • I have never had a problem with boots.com and have had several orders from them. Boots are usually good and usually compensate well
  • Maybe just a bad day in the warehouse-will send them a short letter and see what they have to say.

  • Try 0800 9150004 for Customer Services.

    Whenever I`ve rung them with any kind of problem, they`ve been really good, and either added points to my advantage card or sent a gift card as reimbursement for problems they`ve caused.

    I`d ring back and ask to speak directly to a supervisor or manager. Make it clear to them how much you`ve been inconvenienced and let down.

    Hope they redeem themselves...

    Boots the company are known for their fab customer service in general-not sure how the .com part works though.
  • They have totally mucked this order up-our order was never sent out-waited in all day today and had to phone them (on the freephone number above) and they have said it had not been ordered at all on their system-what a mess-only offered 250 points on the phone for the mess.
    Very poor show Boots!

  • Whenever I have had a problem with them (twice when things had gone out of stock inbetween me ordering and them sending out) they have given me advantage card points, last time i got 1000 plus the amount in points of the missing items.
    Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

    Got to take my hat off to Boots.com-after the bad start they got in touch and have generously refunded us the whole cost of the item.:D
    Could not believe it when they did but very happy with them.:j
    Now I know how good their Customer Services can be will feel more confident about ordering with them in future.:T
