A classy cruise?

Can anyone recommend an 'old fashioned' type of cruise where the most exciting entertainment on offer is visiting ancient ruins, then a game of deck quoits followed by a G&T?!

I hate the thought of being on a massive floating wedding cake of a ship with down-market comedians and kids running riot - which is what friends of ours experienced this year.

Surely there's a cruise line that caters for boring old f!rts like us (mid 30s, no kids) :D

Try SeaDream Yacht Club or Seabourn.

Both are fantastic but the former has no entertainment at all and not a child in sight on either.
  • Thanks GH - will do some research!

  • Go out of school holidays and book one of the child free ships with P&O. I usually book mine through liverpool cruise club and find them really good. I've been on a few different cruise liners and I think P&O are excellent for quality and value for money.

Saying all that, even if you go on a ship with children, they are so well catered for entertainment wise, you don't really know they are on there. The adults can be far more annoying!
