If you have POA, you would send in a mis-selling complaint, giving your reasons.
Make sure you only put what you know to be true.
Remember that any redress goes to his estate.0 -

You will, of course, need to show that you have the necessary permission to act in the deceased person's name. You'll also obviously only be able to make a very factual complaint, with no reference to sales conversations unless you were personally privy to them.
The main problem, though, will be if you have no documentation and/or if your relative has been dead for some time. There may be no longer any record of their finances.
Do you know for certain they had PPI? Do you have documents from their archive?0 -
POA lapses on death. You need too show you are able to complain as the executor of the estate or have letters of administration.
Ask the bank or building what they want to see.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
I am also looking to submit PPI claims for my deceased parents. I have read the blogs on the website but they seem to suggest that the claim can be made "in the usual way". I have had a look at the PPI page on the Lloyds website but it seems to be tailored for those bringing their own claim, and does not ask for details of anyone else.
I am just wondering what the best way to get around this is? Can I still submit the claim via the LLoyds website (if so how do I include my own details?), or do I need to write a letter?
I have had a look at the Resolver tool too but had the same issue.
I am mindful that the deadline is fast approaching so want to make sure that however I make my complaint, it is valid and acknowledged in time.0 -

You'll have to provide documentary evidence that you have the authority to complain on behalf of your deceased parents. I expect such a requirement therefore precludes telephone complaints as well.
However, you can speed up the process considerably if you contact the Bank first and ask exactly which documentation they will accept in order to proceed..0 -
Hi,
I have just found out this evening that we could possibly submit a PPI claim in our late dad’s name.
He died in 2015 and we know he had at least one finance agreement for a car but possibly more. Unfortunately we do not know the names of the companies that he may have used nor can we remember who he had his mortgage agreement with.
Is it possible for us to find out who he may have had any financial agreements with to enable us to pursue this further?

Did he have PPI? If he did what would be your complaint reason?0 -

Hi,
When I personally claimed missold PPI I wasn’t fully sure if I was missold any but claimed on any financial agreement I remembered I had taken out.
I complained that I was missold PPI.
I am wanting to know if we could do the same for our dad.
My sister is the executor of his will, we have a copy of the will and I registered his death.
This isn’t pleasant asking these questions as he isn’t here any longer but we have been advised that it is a possibility and any monies successfully claimed are part of his estate.
When I claimed for myself, I used a credit reference report to find the list of companies/organisations with which I could submit a claim. Is there somewhere where I could find out who my dad had financial agreements with?
