refused ppi by santander

Santander have advised the ppi was taken out in 2002 and we had only 15 years to make a mis-selling complaint and more than 15 years have passed so they have determined it is time-barred is this correct please

    It depends on the type of PPI it was and Santander's relationship at the time.

    If it was a branch based product (such as credit card PPI, loan PPI etc) then no, the 15 year rule does not apply. However, Santander have liability for some store cards and with certain pre 2005 sales, the 15 year rule can apply.
