I have a HP psc 2410 all in one printer and have recently bought a new PC running Vista.

Previously I ran HP software to scan documents but now HP say the software is pre installed with Vista. That is Ok to scan odd documents or pictures to JPEG, but I can't see how I can scan a 3 page document and save it to Word

Any ideas???

  • As all scanned images are just that, images you can Cam and Scan is in Windows Photo Gallery | File | Import From Camera or Scanner

but seeing as I seem to be advocating Irfanview today, that has a nice little feature that allows you can also use to import and then drop as an image into Word

If you need editable text, then you will need some Optical character recognition software. but I am sure HP provided a cut down version of that on the disk
