Morning all! Travelling day today, must pack bag [won't take long] and remember to take thinner duvet as the one took last time turned out to be the wrong one [ I did wonder why it was so warm, doh!]
Christmas with friends at the weekend [we missed it at actual Christmas due to operation and hospital etc] so will have to find the presents that I have aquired and wrap them ready. I'll make some coleslaw and nibbly bits to go with the KFC that we're having too. So there's that to look forward to. I'm always so last mintue or have been for the last year, and while that's understandable, it does make me a bit frustrated [ mostly because even though I write things on calendars I still forget they're happening...]

Loos like everyone is enjoying the sun and fun at the moment...[no? too hot? :)] so hope you're all doing well...Wotcha missing peeps, hugs and stuff...

    Munificent Monday!

    Morning all
The sun is shining again, but we're due some rain after tea which is also tomorrow's forecast :(. We desperately need some rain as everything garden wise is parched.
I need to mow the lawns today before the rain comes and Mr Fix It has to get some petrol for the car, as he is taking DD and family to Cardiff airport tonight for the start of their holidays. I may tag along to the garage then persuade him into a store to buy another fence paint brush, I can't for the life of me find the one I have already bought :o ( but I have found the paint, couldn't miss it really....... it's a huge tub ! ) I thought the paint and brush would be together but no.... I've probably put the brush " somewhere safe " :rotfl:
Other than that it's a general pottering about today.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Take care all

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently
  • Hallelujah the big upright freezer outside the kitchen door and top of the steps into the garage has been defrosted. And to prove it my feet are sodden and there is water running all down the garage steps! When Bob used to do it there was no evidence of water anywhere, I don't know what I am doing wrong! Take care all xx

    Afternoon everyone.

My morning went really fast today - I wanted to see the 11a.m. showing of 'Yesterday' in town and made it! The new boutique cinema is really fabulous and the film was excellent too.

DM was fed and watered and I left a plate of lunch and a flask of tea for her.

So, all's well if rather humid and sticky.

Happy rest of Monday to all.

Afternoon chums just awaiting some of the boys to get back from their summer jobs ,oop, spoke too soon, just had a text from DGS Jack can I pick him up at 16.30. no peace for the wicked :) but it saves him the three quid bus fare so I don't mind its only a couple of miles .

Had a busy day catching up on odd jobs and telephone calls etc so I am quite pleased at the to-do list that I got through.
Ham salad for dinner tonight so no cooking at least which is a bonus and

I managed to find a ball of scarlet wool to knit a few more squares for DGS Henry's blanket. He said yesterday could I make his red and white Liverpool blanket a bit bigger as he had grown out of it As he is 6'2" and his blanket was made for him when he was 12 and he is now 18 I could see his point :) I unpicked the side and top enge and will knit another set of squares to go along the top and side to enlarge it a bit to fit him He wants to take it with him when he goes off to Uni in September :) a little bit of home and a hug from his Gran he said :)
How could I say no to that :):):) full of charm that young man.

Right I'd better get a wriggle on and pick him up,
Have a good evening chums rain is forecast for tomorrow so no need to water my garden at least tonight

    Cheers chums
