Help Challenging a Default from a DMP

Hi
I was in a DMP from 2011 until 2018 and ran my credit report on the main providers this month. All my defaults (of what I had remembered) stated in 2011 when my DMP started and so now 6 years on are not on my file.
However from the many creditors I had two are still on as my report said the defaults started in 2015. Both were debts that after a period were sold on to a debt collector, however I am surprised as to why the defaults were only down as 2015 as before then both creditors were in my DMP since 2011.
I know I can challenge these, but wanted to ask for support and advice on the best way to do this?
Thanks

Hi,
You want to ask your creditors to follow guidance and change the default dates to when you were 3-6 months in arrears of the original agreement. See the guidance linked below (it's on page 6):

Thanks. Will this be the same for the new creditors (the collecting) agencies who picked up the debts from the two main creditors (Barclay and Egg - which I believe is Barclay again)?
Both the original creditors were part of my DMP in 2011.0 -
Were they sold in 2015 to the DCA?0
-
Yes they were sold on to collection agencies in 2015 after 4 years of the original creditors being part of and paid each month in my DMP0

So the DCA’s will show the defaults starting for the months in 2015.
But what does the “date of default” entry actually say against the accounts on your report?0 -
Hi
One says
Account start date - 05/07/2011
Date of default - 30/03/2016
Was updated last on 8th August 2019
The other sats
Account start date - 15/10/2008
Date of default - 04/08/2015
Last updated 30th June 20190
