What about unknown allergies? Probably far more of them about. Bees don’t sting much, I’ve never been stung by one, have you? If not either one of us could be deathly allergic and blissfully unaware!
I would reckon that being stung by one bee is probably going to happen sooner or later, whether or not your neighbour has a hive.

Really? I bet most people go their entire lives without a bee sting.

Now wasps are a different matter!

I have a neighbour with bees - and a very responsible chap he is (it's also handy to have a free wasp nest removal service on your doorstep). As mentioned earlier in the thread, bees have flightpaths so your neighbour needs to control that. Ours installed a 7'-8' willow hurdle next to his hives so the bees need to fly over it (not around it) and stay at that height until they get to where they need to go.

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?
  • Have you thought about putting up a sign?

Good idea, Bees are well known for their reading skills.

Yes, and even if they weren't, they should at least be able to acknowledge clear and basic signage.
