Vueling Airlines...any reviews or such ?

I hate flying....very nervous...and here's my thing. We wanted to go to Florence and the easiest ( we weren't looking for the cheapest) way of getting there from Gatwick was booking with Vueling. Now I've since searched up reviews and I'd say 80% are bad....Tripadvisor has 2000 excellent and 7000 terrible !!! So I'm kacking myself ! Anyone give me any positives about this airline or are we flying Buddy Holly airways to Italy ?? We're going in a week...also they have no refund or cancellation policy. Flight cost £590 return for two adults.Thanks.

Look at reviews of any airline and you're likely to see similar percentages, it's mostly the ones dissatisfied who post.

Why is it the easiest, Vueling..?

They are fine, their fleet is up-to-date, don't work yourself up for nothing, the chance of any mishap is so infinitesimal it's safer than walking to the corner shop regardless of airline..!

Read and decide if you believe the stats or the airlines.

We had an hour delay last week. None of it was the airline's fault. The ground handlers were hopeless.

Delay getting load figures to gate so delay going through gate as they couldn't cross check the numbers, delay getting buses for passengers, delay refuelling, delay loading bags and subsequent delay to take off slot.

Too many flights and not enough staff.

This was compounded by a headwind, so speed was around 400 knots, rather than a typical 450-500.

We flew home from Barcelona with them earlier this year, had no issues whatsoever.

Aircraft was very similar to Thomas Cook / Easyjet. Nothing fancy but certainly not old or anything to worry about. Left on time, crew were all welcoming and pleasant and got us home safely. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

Florence airport is prone to high winds and closes or restricts full aircraft.
I’ve given up using this airport.
Pisa and Bologna have good rail transport to Florence and each airport has a mover light rail connection from the airport to the railway station.
Vueling are terrible if there are cancellations, I had to re-route myself.

Got caught up in hurricane Ophelia a couple of years ago coming home from Alicante, our easyjet flights were cancelled and the first available rebook was 4 days later. so we booked our own flight just to get home - only option for all of us as a group was to go Alicante to Barcelona with Vueling, then Barcelona to Dublin with Aer lingus. we were tired, we were stressed and ready to cry, but we really couldn't have faulted vueling in any way. plane was relatively modern, clean (the seat belts were massive compared to any other flight id been on), staff were helpful and friendly, although their English wasn't totally up to scratch and a few passengers struggled to make their requests understood.
Granted its only one experience, but I would definitely try them again if needed. and as someone else said, most people only take the time to post a review when they are p!!!!!ed off.
