Car insurance change of details fees.

Looking to renew our car insurance and know I am going to run into these fees this year I am leaving current job in a couple of months, hopefully starting another later in the year but no exact details yet. Also going to be changing address early next year so that will be 3 changes at least. Who is a good company to use to minimise these changes. Used an online insurer a few years ago who only altered the price of the insurance and did not charge admin fees, think these excessive charges are ridiculous but all seem to be charging now. Advice please.

Not a recommendation but Aviva+ claims amongst it's features you can change your cover without any administration fees

Doesn't mean that changes won't alter the premium ( up or down) of course

And make sure that the premium is cost effective/competitive

I changed cars recently and was pleasantly surprised that Aviva did not charge me.

I changed all the details myself online through the MyAviva but I still expected a small charge.

My insurance company (under written by RSA) didn't have any admin fees when I changed jobs. Actually got a £20 refund!
What is pi? Where did it come from?

I am with Aviva. I recently changes cars and increased the estimated annual mileage. The still didn't charge me anything.

You have to do it on-line, rather than calling them, to avoid the fees.

But I assume they would charge more if you moved to a high-risk area.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

I'm looking into the same thing for the same reasons. The ones I've found that definitely don't charge (I've asked them) are Aviva Plus and Direct Line. Some more info on this link but I haven't checked them myself.

Tesco allow free changes online but have a £25 fee if you make changes by phone.
