put matt mist coat on last weekend on fresh plaster and now the silk paint on top is just peeling?

Basically, got walls skimmed, accidentally put a silk mist coat on so took it all off and sanded the wall then put matt mist coat on last weekend on fresh plaster and now the silk paint on top that was painted yesterday is peeling? should i convince dh to chuck this silk paint and just get matt?
