I laid my entire flat with Engineered Wood flooring. Just did it with floating and then glued the joins where the was likely to be water ingress (condensation windows, next to sink etc.)
Absolutely no issues in 3 years and certainly no movement or noises. Shouldn't make a difference even if T&G v Click. We have had both and no difference.0 -
We had engineered wood fitted as 'floating' a couple of years ago. Our (highly recommended and very experienced) fitter didn't even mention glue as an alternative means of fixing the boards in place.
No movement, but we had a bit of a 'squeak' near the french doors. Easily fixed with talc.0
