If its like NatWest, the payments via the App for new payees are lower than when using the website. Once you've set them up online, I think payments via the App go up.
Not sure I'm making any more sense but did hit the same issue recently.0 -
Until fairly recently (with Natwest anyway) the limit was £250.0

I think the point the OP is trying to make is that the statement is ambiguous. Banks dealing with hundred/thousands of customers money and then try to hide behind their terms and conditions when things go wrong shouldn't be allowed to make ambiguous statements like that. You'd think they would employ someone to look at all this stuff (eg testers) and see if it makes sense to the ordinary man/woman in the street.0

Exactly. I've always thought of myself (and all members of this forum) as floating slightly above the ordinary man/woman.
The box pictured above is ambiguous and in fact nonsensical.
Obviously the RBS website hasn't been tested with the correct user-experience monkeys.
I volunteer my (know when to use its and it's) services to the Royal Bank.0 -
I'd certainly agree that there are many intelligent, ingenious and resourceful forum members who are above average, many by some distance, but conversely there are some who'd struggle to compete with amoebae.... Perhaps some of the latter moonlight as content authors for prominent banks?I've always thought of myself (and all members of this forum) as floating slightly above the ordinary man/woman.

I was trying to be nice!
RBS don't help themselves. I think what they define as digital banking, everyone else calls online banking.
It's not clear though, as the app is also digital banking. I've made lots of payments on my phone and PC to this recipient, so not only is the message unclear, but also wrong.0
