Reusing pavers to make a permeable path

I have a quantity of pavers that I want to reuse and wish to make them permeable to some extent (I won't bore you with the story). The length of the run (next to a garage wall) is about 8 meters by about a meter. If I lay them using a spacer I am looking to create a grout line into which I will brush fine grit, would that work? You can buy SUDS compliant permeable pavers but they are expensive and since I have some bog standard ones going spare.....

Grateful for your thoughts.

cheers,

What would they run off onto away from the garage wall?

Use kiln dried sand between the gaps, sets like concrete but stays permeable. Not sure you even need a spacer. They are usually designed for the kiln dried sand in the first place.

Thanks for your reply. The path has the garage wall on one side and earth on the other. I shall create a fall away from the wall but thought it better to use a combination of the fall and permeability to keep the garage wall as dry as possible.

    Thanks again.
