I have been informed of a successful PPI compensation from The Claims Guys. However, they are asking for their commission to be paid up front without us having any proof. Is this normal practice. I feel somewhat uncomfortable !

It's a scam...ignore.0 -
I'm certain there is nothing to be concerned about (other than the size of the bill:eek:).Stella_alder wrote: »I have been informed of a successful PPI compensation from The Claims Guys.
However, don't be badgered into paying anything until the Bank actually pays you the redress.
Simply tell the Claim firm to wait and that you won't be paying anything until you receive the money yourself.
Not if the OP has already actually employed the Claims firm it won't be.Rainbowgirl84 wrote: »It's a scam...ignore.0 -
It seems a bit odd if it is actually the claims guys as they’re one of the more ‘straight’ firms to deal with.
They don’t pay you either, the lender pays you direct. You’re either being ripped off by a con artist or Claims Guys have gone rogue.helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'

I don't think it's either. My supposition is that the Claim Company have been informed by the bank that the OP's complaint is successful and they are billing the customer accordingly, albeit a little early. Unfortunately, the OP has not yet heard from the Bank and, of course, has yet to receive any redress. They don’t pay you either, the lender pays you direct. Unless the OP returns to say differently, I stand by my original advice at post#30
