    Afternoon all,

Cool here this morning so I dressed accordingly for the funeral of a dear friend.....88:years young .By the time the service was over it had warmed up considerably so the guard of honour we walked to the cemetery about a mile away knocked me sideways. We did not go to the meal afterwards but to our favourite restaurant in a nearby town......they had swordfish on the menu so I indulged , it was delicious!

Home now to an empty, quiet house, will do some knitting while watching tennis. Will water garden and greenhouse later.

Hester......glad you were able to see off the idiot who thinks he owns the world. Those who complain about falling leaves are beyond belief. I wonder to whom do they complain if raindrops fall on their heads??

Nice to see you posting Poppy.

    Enjoy your day all

That's another Saturday visiting finished. DM and friend sat from 3pm until a few minutes ago working on the crossword and chatting. She managed to get into her day clothes and sit on her bed and so immediately looks better

I had my own visit from an old friend / ex-colleague which was lovely too. He only had a short time but I'm so happy that he made the effort to drive across from the East end to see me. He and is wife are driving up north in a couple of weeks so we'll all catch up again then over a swift coffee.

Now for a quiet evening of reading and contemplating the insides of my eyelids. It's still very steamy here, dark skies and such awful humidity.

    Happy evening!

Evening all! Lovely cool day with on off drizzle which hasn't prevented me from putting the washed clothes on the line because as far as I'm concerned, they'll probably be dry tomorrow and if they aren't, I'll spin them and put them in the tumble drier.
Oh has gone out with a friend, I opted to stay in and read my book, which I have just finished. I just haven't got the desire to go out and socialise.

Hester, so annoying! Just like people who move next to pubs and then complain about the live music. A general wave of best wishes to everyone..
    Stuporous Saturday!
