Hi,

Last year 18/19 provisional awards showed a potentioal payment which will be released once renewal has been done.

I have done the renewal and was entitled to £260 for 18/19 year They have issued £133 to me and the rest they have transferred to the current years award 19/20.

Why? That £260 is nothing to do with 19/20 . It should have been paid to me in full to finalise the award.

I attempted to contact Tax credit but they were really busy.

Have you been overpaid in 2019:20?

I am aware if there is an overpayment they can set off money one to another award.

But in this case there is no overpayment for 19/20.

A common suggestion in the Cutting Tax board is to phone HMRC just before 8am. Apparently it's easier to get through then.
