Maybe you've misunderstood what I wrote, eg car new sticker price £30k after 3yrs retail private for £13k you get first dibs at £11k.

Ahh sorry yes I did misunderstand.. but I don't think the balloon price will be much different to the retail price to be honest... If i did buy the car outright now.. I would probably lose about 500-1000GBP.

My fault I realize as I should have never got a PCP, I didn't realize then I would be working outside of the country so much.. I'd just like the cheapest way to get out of it so wondered if they would negotiate but by peoples reaction here I think its doubtful.. but still what do I have to lose by asking...

Out of curiosity, what exactly is the “principle” involved?

Maybe principle was the wrong word... But if I am going to be paying the money anyway.. thn why would I hand it back to them a year early?

...I am in a position now to pay the early settlement fee and buy the car out right in order to sell. They quoted 11k....
A much better option might well be to VT the car. You're close to that point, and at that time you just hand the car back with nothing further to pay (assuming its in good condition).

Yeah, great condition as its hardly been used. I think I will be going down the route of VT.

Does the Advance payment count towards the Total Amount Payable?

Unfortunately I am the Faroe Islands today and have 0% Cell Signal. Will have to wait till Monday to give them a call and see the total amount I have paid so far. It should be 10,494.05 + 2,650 Advance Payment.

Total Payable for the agreement is 24,291.84
