Vented washer dryer

We're moving to a flat that already vent for a dryer in a cupboard. At one time there was a dryer on top of a washing machine in this cupboard so there's already a vent pipe leading to the outside.
We want a washer-dryer to save space but most of the appliances that we see are the condensing type. They say that vented and condensing are both equally good, but as we already have a vent pipe I'd quite like to make use of it. It also seems better to vent to the outside.
Can someone pse tell me whether there are combi washer-dryers on the market that vent to the outside?
Thanks in advance. - DTMM

I can't say for sure, but almost certainly you cannot buy a combi that has a vented dryer.
Think about it: a washing machine absolutely must have an outlet for water, but doesn't need a vent for air. A condenser dryer can make use of the same outlet, rather than making the user have a vent as well. Manufacturers won't make these for the simple reason that your situation is unusual, most people that want a combi will be doing so due to space constraints and so won't have a vent.0 -
As above, never seen one.
Don't forget the usual problems with washer dryers - only dries half a load, takes a long time, can't wash & dry at the same time, less efficient, less reliable...Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
Get two appliances and stack.
Heatpump dryers are far more efficient than both vented and condenser and the price difference has dropped so payback periods are quite short.0 -
Many thanks for the replies and advice.
We've settled for a w/d with a condenser.
