Who rents for thousands a month ?

I live in North Northants where million pound houses (that actually sell for a million) are a rarity.
Some months ago a very large six bed detached house came on the market that had I believe, been repossed, had been trashed and stripped, and sat empty for a very long time was sold for a price in the high hundreds of thousands.
It has been totally renovated to a high standard and surprisingly to me, is now on the rental market for £2,750 a month !!!!!
Purchase and renovation must have cost well over a million pounds.
So,
What type of person spends this type of money on a rental ???? (it was never up for sale so not trying to rent as cant sell)
What type of person spends that £2,750 month on rent ?
If this was London maybe, but out in the sticks of Northants it seems totally out of place and market.

Literally hundreds of types of people. Popele who have that amount of money, and want to live in that house in Northants. Im not sure what answer you expect...0
-
People who are paid a large salary but have poor job security.
Contractors for example.Im A Budding Neil Woodford.0 -
I rent my home in the North East out for about that much. It’s a good size Georgian terrace, 5 bedrooms, 400sqm.0

People who have that much money but either don't anticipate it being a longterm home (with all the costs of buying/selling), or perhaps don't have a sufficiently conventional/regular income to tick the boxes of getting a mortgage for that size of property. Or who want to take access (almost) immediately rather than wait the months which purchases tend to take.0

Footballers, loads of clubs nearby who have players on shortish contracts with loads of money knocking around.0
-
Also companies. Someone may be having a termporary job and the company pays their expenses (or even rents it directly).0

Big companies will sometimes rent properties, or pay the expenses, for senior execs who need temporary accoms.0

If this was London maybe...
You wouldn't get anything close to a "very large six bed detached house" in London (or probably anywhere in the home counties) for £2,750.- Here's an example of what you might get in North West London for £2,750 - a 1 bed flat. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-61055919.html
- But if you want something in central London, here's a studio flat for £3,600 per month: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-73174360.html
- You probably won't get a six bed detached house anywhere in central London, so you'd probably have to settle for a 6 bed terraced house. Here's one for £12,000 per month. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-67097581.html

If it had stonking broadband, you might well find a bunch of postgrads could club together to study in serious comfort. What's mad is a single individual in it for that money, but a bunch of friends - whyever not?0

Wow !!!!!!
Makes humble almost minimum wage NHS workers like me paying £525 a month out of 17k a year look as poor as we are.0
