Windscreen chips repair Admiral

Hello
A colleague has comprehensive insurance with Admiral. There are 3-4 small chips on the front windscreen
Per Admiral website:
Halfords do windscreen chip repair for £30
In both cases (Halfords and Admiral) - not sure if the cost / excess is single chip only or 3-4 chips in her case.
Also not sure if going via Admiral (Autoglass) will affect her no claim bonus
Not sure what should be best route?

Per Admiral website:
Windscreen repair and replacement cover is included in Admiral’s comprehensive policies as standard and can be purchased as an added extra on other policies. If the glass is repaired, there is an excess of £25. If any glass is replaced, there is an excess of £115.

Sometimes you have to exchange one good idea for another good idea, there isn't always a best and if there is , 2nd best can still meet the needs.
I'm sure people have.....but I have never had a chip that can be repaired irrespective of the adverts.0 -
I'm with admiral fully comp and just got my passenger side window replaced due to vandalism.
I went onto my account and went to make a claim - for glass repair or replacement the number takes you straight through to autoglass who either come out and fix it or put it out to their contractors. It doesn't cost extra money for the contractors and also says it doesn't affect your no claims discount as it's included in your insurance. Think it only would if you made a claim for theft? However this is the first time I've had to do this so I don't know if there's any small print in there that might affect...
I think you can check autoglases website for quotes and times they can come out through "book online" and also get a full quote from Halfords for all chips and see from there? No harm in trying the autoglass website as I don't think it takes in your insurance details (does take registration though) and same with Halfords, you could likely just turn up there and ask someone to come out and quote?Single woman doing it on my own... If you go through your insurers and subsequently change insurer, don't forget to declare it! We forgot and nearly had our insurance cancelled...0

Glass claims generally won't affect no claims but may (will?) affect renewal premium.
Had the joy of 3 broken screens (vandal youngsters) earlier this year and the last one was just before renewal. The 3 claims (in 2 months) put the renewal quote up from £205 to £260 but they reduced that to £240 when I asked.
Given that they'd probably paid out £500+ on the screens that seemed fair enough to me.0 -
With admiral does the excess come under windscreen? So it's £115? Or general so it's £60 for me?

Windscreen excess is for windscreen, not general. And Admiral treats it as claim, it will be on your policy documents after renewal. That's the reason why I did side window replacement for cash, directly with Autoglass. I already had two windscreen claims listed on policy.0
