A friend has asked me to post the following as they don’t have an account, any responses would be appreciated!:

“Does anyone have any experience of using Awaymo to book a flight and pay them on an instalment basis? Is it a legitimate website/Company?”

they deal with finance providers to loan you the money and you pay them back. be better to put it on an interest free credit card

Awaymo seems to have a remarkable number of 5-star reviews which would set my cynical radar on fire. There are a number of issues, the company which has filed no accounts, is based on the Isle of Man despite the directors not being based there, and despite the wrong use of the ATOL logo, is neither a travel agent or tour operator.

If you read the small print it is an 'introducer' to a finance company and then secondly to a travel business. It gives the impression that credit is free, the only way it could work I suspect is for the agent to inflate the sale price to cover the cost of credit but as there is no indication who the agent is, it is impossible to establish the reality
