Has anyone had any experience of buying a car for less than £1000 at auction? I'm wondering if it may be an option as my car has gone to the big car park in the sky and I need a new one. I've seen some rather dodgy looking car adverts on Facebook. The worst was two cars of the same model available in the same area. Different specifications, including one being manual and one automatic. But both had the same photograph.

If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
