Still Awaiting Refund After Card Was Used Fraudulently

Hi All
I purchased a pair of tickets for the Cricket World Cup at the end of last year - I paid via my Sainsbury's Bank MasterCard.
Unfortunately the match was cancelled due to the weather (11/06/19) and the ICC emailed me to say that I would be refunded in full within 28 days.
That same week, Sainsbury's Bank contacted me to say that my someone had tried to use my card - they tried to do an online grocery shop for over £350.00. After confirming it wasn't me making the order, they advised me to destroy my card - they would issue a new one.
I hopefully waited for the ICC to refund me. After the time had passed, I contacted them to explain the card fruad and they said:
"Legally we have to refund the money back to the card....as long as the actual bank account is the same one, the your refund will go back in with no issues".
I confirmed to the ICC that it was a new card and the that the account details hadn't changed, but I've still not had my money back (they emailed me 18/07/19)
What do I need to do to get my money back?

Wait and it will get back to you.
There's other posts on the same subject on these boards as well.0 -
Rather than a refusal, it is a case of an old card being refunded. Correct terminology is important as it helps tailor the response.
As another poster has said, this is not a unique situation and the money will wing its way back to you.0 -
Contact Sainsbury's would be my suggestion
If the refund has been made its likely sitting on the old card (linked to he new one) and will need to be moved, although this could happen automatically like others have said. They are a newish bank though so sometimes its an idea to chase it up.
Or, if the refund hasn't been made at all then Sainsbury's could look to dispute the original transaction and you'll be refunded that way.0 -
Indeed, so perhaps best not mention ICC to Sainsbury's Bank, as they'll think you're talking about your Chip & PIN card!Correct terminology is important as it helps tailor the response.
