ESTA application-2 middle names?

How are middle names submitted on an ESTA application?

There are two in addition to my first name on my passport but when I enter them, the site combines them in to one name, which is not how they appear on my passport.

Does anyone know the solution to this?

Is that a specific field for middle name, required? (Too lazy to check)

If so, just let the system combine them, it doesn't detract from identifying you.

Some airlines combine first and middle names into one, it's still you...
