That would be great if you could find any threads- I have had a look and can't find any - the thread you linked to didn't really have info on a default being registered twice..
aNyone else got any ideas?0 -

Hi,
Working for Vodafone I do know that there should only be 1 default for 1 debt. Perhaps if you agreed to contact us we can look into this for you and resolve it, or point you in the right direction.
If you e-mail us using the Vodafone Online Contact us form here, and include the code 'FIT135' somewhere in the body of your e-mail, this will come to us in the forum team. We'll have a look at your acount to help resolve this for you.

1 default is headed as Vodafone and the 2nd is a replica but has the DCA on it.
Will vodafone be helpful as I moved house, changed names, never contacted them and can't even remember the mobile number ?
I know it sounds bad but I had my head in the sand!!0 -
In terms of the credit file entry then this may be re-submitted to the CRA under the following conditions
1) not more than one instance of the debt should appear on his file
2) that the default date registered CAN ONLY BE the original default date, and once 6 years have expired from this date the data will naturally expire whether the debt is satisfied or not
This was the bit I was refering to from that thread.
You can only be defaulted once for a debt. The relevant default will be the one that was put on to your credit file first. The other should be removed.0 -

Thanks - that has put my mind at rest a little- I truly couldn't see how you could be defaulted twice for the same debt!
Any suggestions what I do ?
Thanks everyone for your advice!! It's so good to have a place like this to come to!!0 -
Hi gemstar. great to read your posts. I have a very similar thing with a tmobile account from 2002. I haven't heard a sniff since 2002, then last week they sent me a bill for £100 saying it had been referred to Red Debt Collection (Yes, Yes, I've read all about them!!) and have two defaults on my account now (as you did).
Sorry I'm hijacking your post now - cut a long story short: What have you done about getting the second default removed?
I planned to write a letter to TMobile asking for CCA, then read on here that's no good with mobile phone agreements.
Are there any equivalent actions that can be taken against the DCA?0 -
Hi there! to be honest at the moment I am just waiting til I hear from the DCA that have taken it over - I only knw about them at the moment as I checked my credit file so I am sure letter is not far away from arriving - only then will I start looking into it - don't want to draw attention to it before hand"!!!!0
