Advice on identifying lenders

Might sound a bit odd but I'm hoping someone can suggest how I can find out the names of 2 companies we (ex & I) had loans from so I can check for PPI. Few years ago we took out 2 separate secured loans on our then home. They were a couple of years apart and were with different firms. Both were paid off well ahead of schedule. Unfortunately we've since split up so I have no paperwork about them (after the wife burnt all documents, etc before leaving) and I can't recall anything about the lenders at all. Anyone got any ideas how I can find out who the loans were with so I can check if there was PPI on either or both of them? Any help gratefully received.

Unless it was within the last 6 years so still on your credit report you're on to a loser.0

Maybe check bank statements to see who the payments were going to?0

Depends who sold the policies, not the provider, unless they are one and the same.0

Cheers for the help. Looked back through online bank statements and finally found payments in 2013-2014 going to one lender. Making some progress at least.0
