Hey
it was budgeted for and you didn't spend over the budget, whislt still enjoying yourself i would see this as a win!. Its nice to make sure you still live too, i find it makes the journey not seem so bad. As long as its not taking u off track and getting u in debt further. Live is to be lived

You're right! It's just the one alcoholic drink I got that bothered me since I rarely drink, anyways.
Bonus, someone owed me some money so I used that £120 to pay off more on my CC!
Current debt stands at £10,607. My first mini goal is to get under 10,000 and I'm not far off so yay!0 -
Wooooohoooo! Great news re the CC
every bit gets you closer to the target, the feeling you will get when you hit that 1st milestone will be fab

also along for the ride. thank you for joining me on mine
you got this, it will be a long out, and you will have blips, but just keep on getting back on with it and then you will be fine
keep your bills under control and avoid spending little and often, and remember all that you already have and either use it or sell it. it won't make any more later
and keep posting - even if its dull - it will just build and reinforce your habits and the things you worry about - people will pick on anything that gets their interest and you get some nice side chats
EDIT - always nice to be on the first page of a shiny new diaryI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
Spent a bit much today but somewhat budgeted for it. Tightening the purse strings once again for the rest of the month.
Thanks everyone for being so lovely and encouraging. You're all inspiring and motivational to me.0 -

Thanks, guys. It really means a lot that you're so encouraging. I think it gives me even more reason to stay focused
So here's a proper update.
I quite frankly spent more than I wanted but it doesn't throw my budget out at all, it just means that I won't have that extra money to put towards paying off my debts quicker/christmas savings at the end of this month. Not the end of the world...
Otherwise, I've still got my streak of drawing daily in tact. 77 days! oh, yeah! The goal is to get to 365 days and see where I'm at. I had a very bad period of time this year where I witnessed and experienced things I never wanted too and never want to, again. I used to read as a coping mechanism but getting back into art after 7/8 years is the only thing that has really taken me outside of my head (here's my instagram if anyone cares to look: https://www.instagram.com/aliciabeavis/). It's also encouraged me to begin using more of the supplies I spent a lot of money on! haha.
Otherwise, I want to continue using the pantry and freezer stores of food I have this month to 1 save money and 2, make space/use stuff that I might not otherwise. Time to get creative in the kitchen. Good job my spice cupboard is forever well stocked! haha.
I got on holiday at the end of this month and I have a fair chunk of money saved as spending money. I'm hoping to really get into this frugal lifestyle for the rest of this month, continue it into the holiday and after. Don't get me wrong, I want to enjoy my time away but wasting money for the sake of it seems silly.
Anyways, I'll stop rambling and update soon.0
