Pilon and notice pay

Hello, I’m wondering if anyone can help. I had my first consultation today for redundancy. We are being given pilon and I thought that the notice period (I have worked for the company for 11 years and 10 months) would take me to 12 years service - the figures I have been given today are for 11 years service so 11 weeks redundancy and 11 weeks notice pay. When I queried this I was told that the notice period is not counted so I only have 11 full years of service - could anyone clarify if this is correct please....many thanks in advance

The service for notice is based on the date of notice that would make 11years correct.
They have the service for redundancy wrong as the need to include the statutory notice period as a minimum.
Employment act section 145.
