I hope that cute kitten will come back

From last week, every night, a cute little cat came to my door.

At the beginning he will run away when we approach him, but when we squat down, he will come over and rub our legs with his body. When he touched him by hand, he would try to attack us because of fear.

This situation lasted for two days, from the third day we took some water for him to drink, and he swigging and seemed to be really thirsty.

However, the food we gave him basically did not eat, we gave him noodles, rice, raw pork and cooked pork. Sometimes eat a little, sometimes don't eat. Maybe buy some cat food directly, he will like it. But, at present we are in the stage of entrepreneurship, so we don’t have much money. I am thinking that if he is willing to stay, we will share the food we are eating to him. So we bought 2 soopus collapsible dog bowls from Amazon. The seller said that it made by food grade silicone, have no smell, and can bare more than 100°C, also can be folded for easy carrying. So I bought it back. So far so good.

However, we still don't know how to get along with a cat. If you let him stay at home at night with the door closed, what if he pee on the floor. Does he need to be vaccinated? Do we need to bathe him every day? Frankly, I have never raised a cat. I have never had these problems before. Now I suddenly find that taking care of a cat is like taking care of a child, which make me nervous.

The day before yesterday, when the cat was at my house, I quarreled with my family and talked too loudly. He was frightened because he kept barking. I haven't seen him since that day.

Now I feel a little frustrated and self-accused. I hope he can come back.

You need cat / kitten food if it's a cat.
Dog / puppy food if it's a dog.

Cats don't bark, they meow and hiss.

Plenty of info online about how to look after animals. Please bear in mind this may be someone's pet you are trying to claim.

I sincerely hope this is a wind up.
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)

Well it is that time of year again.
  • My kitten had it's first vaccine/inoculation at 9 weeks, then will go again when at 12 weeks. Then at 6 months or sooner if puts on enough weight to 2kg she will be spayed and micro-chipped. I can't imagine letting her out though she managed to get past the inner front door yesterday and fortunately only contained in the flat block ended up having a game of chase up the floors after getting spooked after I opened the front door once I realised she was missing then there she was on the door mat!

My kitten has two litter trays and I only feed her dry as they can get dental disease on wet food. They can also get kidneys problems on dry so it's a no-win.

Might be best to look up feral cats?

For the first time in cat ownership of 12 years, I've taken to reading "your cat" magazine which is really useful - they have a website too.

Food banks do pet food - they accepted my senior cat's food.

There are things about this post that sound awfully like someone who was being very disruptive on another board yesterday.

    Rice?
    Noodles?
Anyone else get the impression that the OP isn't here in the UK? Before anyone says it, I do appreciate that people here in the UK eat rice & noodles. :p
It's also the way the post is phrased.

    What a clever kitten!
So young and already doing impressions of a dog...:rotfl:

One could wonder if the whole post is some attempt to advertise collapsible bowls of a certain brand from Amazon...

    Unlike the OP who says:
I hope that cute kitten will come back
I hope that cute kitten will stay away.
    Very far away.
And will find a home with someone who knows a tad more about cats than the OP appears to do.
If the cute kitten doesn't already have a home, of course.
  • I hope this is a wind up as it’s the summer holidays. As for the poor owners of the kitten letting the kitten out to early.

At least the thread gives an opportunity to post a video of a cat barking like a dog . . until he's found out :)

    You're welcome.

    As an aside:
I heard an almighty splash this morning in our garden.
Looked out to see ripples in the pond and a young-looking black and white cat on the side of the pond wet-through.
I said 'you silly boy' and he looked at me as if to say 'how on earth did that happen', then bolted.

We have no fish in the pond but did have lots of tadpoles so maybe he saw a frog.
Whatever...I doubt he'll make the same mistake again.
No idea what his owners will make of him when he gets home. :rotfl:
