POPLA Euro Car Park Appeal help

well done for persevering
yes you should get a cancellation notice in the post or possible by email so keep an eye on spam folders too
do NOT miss any popla deadline, they can still cancel even before any popla decision, but wait until day 26 following the popla code to appeal to popla, if required
personally , I would try to see if it can be paid online today plus in a few days time, without paying of course, checking the balance to be paid today , then in a few days time to see if it says £0.00 or whatever
in other words, try a dry run today, then again tomorrow , friday , next week , until you see its cancelled and no outstanding balance, and/or a postal cancellation comes
they are correct about 2 hours , wherewas your dads BB blue booklet will say 3 hours on public roads etc, so better to find a single or double yellow and park up in future, with 3 hours on the clock, or even a disabled bay nearby, or a one hour no return bay, to think about it carefully and gain the maximum time allowed (like I do with my BB)
do not let this slide, keep on top of it until there is written confirmation, doing popla if required too0 -
Redx
So I still have to draft a POPLA appeal and submit it?
My deadline is tomorrow as they issued the POPLA code on 27 June
I will try the dry runs...0 -
yes , submit one today if possible, then popla will contact ECP with it, hopefully it will have been cancelled and ECP will tell popla to cancel it. add a paragraph stating that the landowner or agent has requested that ECP cancel this pcn
do not let this slip by and allow a default win, thereby snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
just get it done asap, then watch the dust settle
now you know why this should have been done weeks ago, to allow time for the cancellation to bleed through0 -
Just did a dry run on ECP website says to pay £50... as if!;)
Will do more as Redx recommended.
Thanks!:T0 -
Redx you said:

at this stage does it matter how well / how badly it is drafted, because mine is appallingly bad..r can I just use one of the POPLA templates verbatim
add a paragraph stating that the landowner or agent has requested that ECP cancel this pcn
will do so

True, kept getting the run around with M&S in getting in touch with Store Manager; also life happens, had too much on with work and then everyone including myself fell ill, so was busy caring for family:( when finally came up for air realised that this was due... but totally appreciate everything all of you on this forum do! life savers!:T0 -

Pay Parking Charge Notice
Ticket Already Paid / Closed
This ticket has already been paid or has been closed.
I have not received written confirmation as yet... so do I still submit appeal to POPLA?0 -
Good question, unknown answer, perhaps play it safe ?0

I submitted my appeal to POPLA last night, made sure to state as my 1st point that landowner has requested ECP cancel this PCN.
Just went on their website today to check status of appeal, it says:
"Appeal has been withdrawn by the operator
You do not need to take any action
Appeal has been withdrawn by the operator
Withdrawn on 25/07/2019
Verification Code
XXXXXXXXXX
Withdrawal reasons
Cancelled after further consideration"
Thank you all for your help and support!0 -
Well done, a result!0
